Sun, Moon, and Stars

Finally the tides have changed.
You are no longer the star in my sky.

I found a new star. So... here we go, again.

Let yourself be loved. What is so hard about that? Could it be that in order to be loved, we have to expose our heart? If you re-word it to read, Let your heart be vulnerable, that just sounds cynical. Are the cynics closer to love than the romantics for example? The romantics would probably say something like, Let yourself love and you will be loved. Or even that famous phrase, Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. It's true, isn't it? The pain after the loss can't compare to the joy within the relationship, otherwise the phrase wouldn't exist.

Meh.

In other news, I hope I can get another shooting star so I could wish for something better, I think I wasted my last one on something impossible, I'll never forget it though, it would be nice if it came true.
=/

Your move, world.

A Faceless Angel

I think I may have forgotten your face. That could be a good sign, it may very well mean the road to recovery. It's difficult to know when to start fighting the drowning or when to let yourself sink more and which could be better in the long run. Still be an angel to me, always, even if a faceless angel.

Normal

Normal, average, even unoriginal. It's what we sometimes think of ourselves. One of the reasons I push myself. Because I want to be special. I want to show myself more than anything that I can be "someone". Maybe one day I can be worth anything. Because I push and I try. Yet, I am looked over because sometimes when we start to find that we are actually moving up the totem pole, we get proud. We become the snobs who know everything-and not in a good way. Should I be sorry that I try? No. But I can be a little less forceful about the facts.

Update: This really only have to do with the title. I saw "All About Steve" the other day and though it was an ok movie with funny circumstances, but pretty bad acting, I loved the final scene and one line in particular. Sandra Bullock is a geek who is not accepted by society and finally she realizes that you don't need anybody or to do anything except to find the people "as normal as you." Wonderful. That's all I will do. Find the people that accept me and be as normal as I can be. =)

Opinions

Lots of work to do over winter break. Got some great movies from Orlando, such as Finding Nemo and the Matrix for very good prices. I wish I could write all of the best quotes from Finding Nemo and not look like a child. Then again, this would make me concerned with other people's opinion of me and I say that I am not. Obviously, I am to some extent. Aren't we all?
Psh, vacation... so much for a week off. All I could do was think about how much junk I need to do at home. =( I am so lame.
Back to the opinions, whose opinions matter? Mine? Yours'? Your mother's? Technically, the opinions that matter are the opinions that you let matter. The ones that echo in your brain are not always the ones you want to remember. What level of consciousness or subconsciousness deems someone important to us? Is it importancce to us on any level what makes opinions matter?
"Fish are friends, not food."
"Es-cap-ay? I wonder what that means, it's funny, it's spelled the same way as the word, 'Escape'."

Why can't life be as simple as trying wedding cakes?

Where do we draw the line between being a know-it-all and simply being knowledgeable? Are there moments that we try so hard not to say "I told you so..." but it just doesn't work out, we say it anyway? Or are these just pride speaking and need to be suppressed?
To be respectful to others could mean dumbing yourself down. Making yourself seem like you don't know the answer to be cool. Is this humility? To just stay silent could help, but could also hurt.
Life is like a balancing act. We have twenty four cups on our hat with a candle burning in the middle of the top one, a piano in one hand while we only have a small flower pot in the other. It's impossible to do, but we have to save as many of these items as we can for as long as we can. And giving up would be to tumble all of these items onto someone else and force the burden on them, giving them more than they were possibly made for.
Why can't life be as simple as trying wedding cakes?

Running does not bring Understanding

Sometimes I just don't understand.
You can't escape the world. No matter how much you drink or prepare yourself for a vacation or whatever the moment is holding, the world is where you live, in case you forgot.
There are things that help you forget your current issues, but that only makes them go away temporarily. They aren't going to be finished forever until you finish them.
Try to run as you might, it won't work very long at all. And sooner than you expected and wanted you will have to face the problems that you ran from.
I'll help you then, but I will not have sympathy, do not ask me for that.
